Hi Sabine,
Just a line to let you and Alfie know that
we got back to the UK ok and things are nearly
back to normal.
We had to write to let you know what a great
time we had last month and to thank Alfie for
a wonderful experience. As you can guess we
entered into the holiday with a fair amount
of trepidation, wondering just how easy a safari
would be for someone in a wheelchair. However
within the first couple of days our minds were
set at rest, even before we got to the Kruger
Park.
It was obvious that Alfie had expended considerable
time and effort into developing a truly disabled
friendly tour. This was especially noticeable
in the small details so often overlooked by
the able-bodied; things like shower hoses and
seats. It was Alfie's constant attention to
detail, and seemingly inexhaustible energy that
made the trip even more special (not to mention
the gastronomic delights of Alfie specials!)
We were delighted with just how easy it was
for someone in a wheelchair to travel about
and enjoy the trip and Impi (our truck) was
a superb platform for game drives. However we
also realise that it was deceptively easy thanks
to Alfie's persistence with his crusade for
better access to all areas of the Kruger.
We hope that Alfie made it back home without
incident and that the three of you are enjoying
some quality time together.
Wishing you good luck with the move and continuing
success with the business.
Hoping to see you again some time in the future,
Once again thank you for a truly 'Enabled' holiday
Best Wishes
Jan and Keith Parsley
